Customs and Tariffs
International Shipping & Customs Information
We're delighted to serve our international community! However, when shipping from the UK to destinations outside the UK, customs duties and import taxes may apply. Below is important information about how these fees work.
1. Import Duties & Taxes
When ordering internationally, you may be required to pay:
- Customs duties – taxes imposed by your country on imported goods
- VAT/GST/Sales tax – depending on your local regulations
- Handling fees – charged by the courier or customs broker
These fees are determined by your country's customs authority and are the responsibility of the customer. We cannot predict or control these charges, as they vary by destination, product type, and current trade policies.
2. USA-Specific Customs & Trade Updates (2026)
We love our US community! However, international shipping from the UK to the USA currently faces a complex and evolving tariff environment.
The Current Situation
Following the suspension of the $800 "duty-free" allowance (de minimis) in late 2025, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) now applies duties to almost all commercial imports. As of February 2026, a 10% global surcharge is applied to most goods, alongside existing commodity-specific duties. Because these rates are subject to change by executive order, we cannot provide a guaranteed quote for the total duty amount at the time of purchase.
Duty Payment Process for US Orders
We ship all US orders via Evri International. Please note the following:
- Unpaid Duties (DAP/DDU): Your order is sent "Delivered Duty Unpaid." We do not collect or pay these fees at checkout.
- Notification: When your package arrives in the US, Evri (or their local partner) will contact you via email or SMS to notify you of the outstanding balance.
- Release: Your parcel will be released for final delivery only after these government-mandated fees are settled by the recipient.
3. Payment Responsibility
All international customers are responsible for paying any customs duties, taxes, and fees levied by their country. We ship on a DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) or DAP (Delivered at Place) basis, meaning:
- We do not collect customs fees at checkout
- You will be contacted by the courier or customs authority to arrange payment
- Your package will only be delivered once these fees are paid
4. Non-Payment & Returns
If you choose not to pay the required duties and your item is returned to the UK:
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
- Return-to-sender fees incurred will be deducted from your refund
- Processing may take 5-10 days from the date the package is returned to us
We strongly encourage all international customers to accept and pay customs charges to avoid delays and additional costs.
5. Questions?
If you have questions about potential duties for your country, we recommend contacting your local customs office before placing your order. Unfortunately, we cannot provide estimates for international duty fees as they are set and collected by your government, not by us.
